Band Band BioCrimson Sky is the brian child prog metal band of guitarist/vocalist Jay Santo. The group also features John Giacchi on drums/percussion and Billy Buchanan on electric and upright bass. Defined by some as "progressive metal at it's finest", the band crosses many different styles of music together. From pounding blast beats, to smooth classical guitar sections, from doomy groove riffs to haunting string arrangments this band will take your ears on a listening adventure like no other.
Their first full length self titled release hit the RI and CT area in late September with a stream of shows at local venues. This release features special guests Jeremy Fortier on Violin and Viola and Mike Potvin on rhythm guitar. It was produced and engineered by the talented Dave Boccuzzi from Anoxia. Their live shows have also featured a slew of other local musicians as well making guest appearences. Keep your eyes and ears on the New England metal scene for this up and comming band. With a unique sound and a strong sounding CD they hope to make a great impact.
